Meniscal Extrusion as a Result of Capsular Scarring - Clinical Outcomes
Knees: Meniscus
The objective of this study is to examine outcomes for patients who present with an extruded meniscus and undergo a capsular release. Menisci can extrude of the joint for a number of reasons, including scarring to the capsule. With an extruded meniscus, the knee functions as if there were no meniscus at all which can contribute to progressive osteoarthritis symptoms. Performing a simple, quick procedure like a capsular release can provide patients with relief.
