Medial Patellofemoral Ligament Repair vs. Reconstruction
Knees: Patellar Pathology
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of a repair of the medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) compared to a reconstruction -- the traditional method of surgical intervention for the ligament. The repair allows patients to maintain their native tissue and is done percutaneously, limiting the number of incisions made and damage to the surrounding tissue.
