Biceps

The proximal biceps tendon can be a common source of pain either from associated superior labral injury (SLAP lesions) or subscapularis injury (resulting in subluxation and tendonopathy of the biceps).  When biceps injury is suspected, other pathologies must be investigated with an MR Arthrogram to rule out inciting causes.

When proximal biceps ruptures do occur, these injuries can often be treated with physical therapy alone.
